ABILENE —(Sept. 21)— Feeder steers sold steady to $2 higher, the advance on weights under 500 pounds, heifers steady to $1 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $1-2 higher, stock cows and pairs steady. Receipts totaled 2448 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $110-121, 300-400 lbs. $105-115, few $119, 400-500 lbs. $96-105, few $106-110, 500-600 lbs. $80-86.50, 600-700 lbs. $74.50-80, few $82-84, 700-800 lbs. $70-75.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $85-92, 400-500 lbs. $80-88, 500-600 lbs. $73-78.50, 600-700 lbs. $70-75.50, 700-800 lbs. $66.50-72, 800-900 lbs. $60-65.50.

Slaughter cows: breakers $31.50-37.50, boners $34-38, high dressing $38.50-41.50, lean 1000-1200 lbs. $33-36, 750-1000 lbs. $28.50-34, under 750 lbs. $26-31; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $44.50-51.50, high dressing $51.50-53.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young 950-1200 lbs. 7-8 months bred $530-610 per head, aged 950-1350 lbs. 4-7 months bred $420-500; medium and large 1-2 young 1000-1400 lb. cows with 100-150 lb. calves $650-700 per pair.
