Most Angelo Heifers,
Steers, Lambs Higher
SAN ANGELO Feeder lambs weighing less than 60
pounds sold firm to $1 higher this week, heavier weights
steady, slaughter lambs not well tested, slaughter ewes
$1-4 lower. Two day receipts totaled 17,733 head, around
55 percent slaughter ewes, 10 percent feeder lambs and 35
percent goats.
Feeder steers and heifers sold firm to $1 higher last
week, slaughter cows firm to $1 higher, bulls steady,
stock cows and pairs steady in a light test. Receipts
totaled 5559 head including 2392 calves at Mondays
special feeder sale.
Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 40-60 lbs. $77-82,
60-70 lbs. $76-81, 70-90 lbs. $73-77, set ewes $78.50,
90-100 lbs. $73-76; medium and large No. 2 40-60 lbs.
$70-77, 60-70 lbs. $70-76, 70-90 lbs. $67.50-73, 90-100
lbs. $68-70.
Slaughter lambs: choice 2-3 shorn and wooled 90-130
