Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in Northeast Texas for January delivery 2100 No. 1 English and exotic cross heifers to weigh 700 pounds at $76, and for December delivery 600 similar type and weight heifers at $75.

Ty Jones Cattle Co., Canyon, bought in West Texas for October delivery 500 No. 1 and better heifers to weigh 650 pounds at $76; in New Mexico for current delivery 350 No. 1 steers weighing 750 at $78; and in the Texas Panhandle for current delivery 200 No. 1-1½ Okie and crossbred steers weighing 825 at $75.

Brown Cattle Co., Clyde, sold to a Kansas buyer one load of No. 1 and better English steers and bulls weighing 414 pounds at $90.53; to a Texas Panhandle buyer three loads of No. 1 English and quarter-Brahman cross steers and bulls in medium flesh, weighing 461 at $87.93 delivered; to a New Mexico buyer two loads of No. 1 English and English-Brahman cross steers and bulls in medium flesh, weighing 463 pounds at $87.91 delivered.

USDA reports 5250 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, including: for January delivery medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 750 pounds at $80; for December similar steers to weigh 625 at $76.50 and 825 pounds at $74.50; for November delivery quality northern black steers to weigh 535 pounds at $$95 and similar heifers to weigh 470 at $89; for current delivery northern black steers weighing 510-525 pounds at $96-98.75, 610 pounds $83, 660 pounds $81, 700-775 pounds $77-78.50, and 800 pounds $76-77; similar heifers weighing 480-485 at $89, 535 pounds $88, 575 pounds $75.50, and 650-680 pounds $74-75.

Direct feeder cattle trade in the Northwest as confirmed by USDA totaled 450 head of medium and large No. 1 heifers weighing 700-800 pounds at $70-71 f.o.b. Washington and Oregon.

Montana direct feeder cattle trade by USDA count came to 14,135 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 550-575 pounds for November delivery brought $86-91.50, 625-650 pounds $84-85, similar heifers to weigh 480 pounds $87.50, 500-525 pounds $82-85.50, and 550-575 pounds $79-81; for October steers to weigh 500-550 pounds were $90-93, 550-600 pounds $86-92, 600-650 pounds $85, and 500-550 pounds $90-93.50, similar heifers to weigh 470-500 pounds $87-88, 500-550 pounds $80-86, 500 pounds $90 for replacement quality, 550-600 pounds $79-83; steers for current delivery weighing 850 pounds were $78, 900-925 pounds $74-75, and similar heifers weighing 800-825 pounds were $73-74.
