CUERO —(Oct. 1)— Feeder steers weighing more than 400 pounds and heifers over 300 pounds sold steady to strong, lighter weights lower, slaughter cows and bulls a little lower. Receipts totaled 2550 head.

Feeder steers: weights under 200 lbs. $94-103, 250-300 lbs. $94-111, 300-350 lbs. $83-109, 350-400 lbs. $93-101, few $102-105, 400-450 lbs. $89-95, 450-500 lbs. $77-94, 500-600 lbs. $73-84, 600-700 lbs. $68-76.

Feeder heifers: weights under 200 lbs. $80-99, 200-250 lbs. $77-93, 250-300 lbs. $77-89, 300-350 lbs. $75-85, 350-400 lbs. $75-84, 400-500 lbs. $72-85, 500-600 lbs. $68-75, 600-700 lbs. $60-73, over 700 lbs. $36.50-55.

Slaughter cows: boning cutter and utility $32-33.50, high dressing $34-35, cuter $28-32, canner $18-27; bulls $39-46; bred stock cows, $31.50-44; bred heifers, $31.50-34; cows with calves, $600-640 per pair.
