Cattle Prices Steady

COLORADO CITY —(Oct. 9)— Feeder steers and heifers sold steady, slaughter cows $1-2 lower, bulls steady, young bred stock cows higher. Receipts totaled 765 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $107-117, 300-400 lbs. $95-105, 400-500 lbs. $86-91, 500-600 lbs. $79.50-82, 600-700 lbs. $75-78.50, few $82, 700-800 lbs. $71-75, 800-900 lbs. $68.75-74.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 400-500 lbs. $77-83, 500-600 lbs. $72.50-78, 600-700 lbs. $72.50-75.50, 700-800 lbs. $63-68.50.

Slaughter cows: breakers $32-36, boners $33-37.50, lean 900-1200 lbs. $32-36, 750-900 lbs. $30-35, under 750 lbs. $26.50-31; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $42.50-48.50, high dressing $49-50.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young 1000-1250 lbs. 5-7 months bred $590-645 per head, aged 900-1350 lbs. 2-7 months bred $375-465; medium and large 1-2 young 1000-1200 lb. cows with 100-200 lb. calves $640-685 per pair, aged 800-1100 lb. cows with 100-200 lb. calves $535-630.
