Sale Moves 1219 Head

JUNCTION —(Oct. 8)— Feeder steers sold $2-3 higher at the special High-Dollar calf sale, heavyweight heifers $1-3 higher, lightweights steady. Receipts totaled 1219 head.

Show and sale results:

Pen of five steer calves: 1. Jerry Brawley and Tommy Randle, Junction, five black and black whiteface, 579 lbs. $84.50; 2. David and Deanna Murrah, Junction, seven Angus, 559 lbs. $85; 3. Jerry Brawley and Tommy Randle, six mixed, 617 lbs. $75.50.

Pen of 10 steer calves: 1. Sam Shanklin, Rocksprings, 12 Brangus bulls, 555 lbs. $72.50; 2. Ruth and Patti Beall Morriss, Mountain Home, 17 Beefmaster, 423 lbs. $80; 3. Ruth and Patti Beall Morriss, 19 Beefmaster, 365 lbs. $86.50.

Pen of five steer yearlings: 1. Allen Stieler, Rocksprings, seven Angus, 711 lbs. $74; 2. John and James Barker, Harper, six black crossbred, 491 lbs. $78.50.

Pen of five heifer calves: 1. Sam Shanklin, seven Brangus, 584 lbs. $71; 2. Jerry Dutton, Mason, five gray, 568 lbs $72.50; 3. Jerry Brawley and Tommy Randle, five mixed yellow and red whiteface, 559 lbs. $73.50.

Pen of 10 heifer calves: 1. Paint Creek Ranch, Telegraph, 11 black whiteface, 450 lbs. $78.50; 2. Hagood Ranch Partnership, Junction, 10 Charolais cross, 426 lbs. $78.75.
