In Exports To Mexico
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (USDA) U.S. slaughter
cattle export numbers to Mexico through the week ending
October 9 are off 33 percent from the same period a year
ago at 89,824 head.
Total cattle exports are down 34 percent at 113,120
head. Dairy cattle numbers are off 36 percent at 19,763
head.
Texas slaughter cattle exports to Mexico through
October 15 are off 38 percent at 53,565 head. Dairy
cattle numbers are off 37 percent. Total Texas cattle
exports are down 37 percent at 71,675 head.
Slaughter ewe exports at Texas ports through October
15 are up 13 percent at 251,995 head. There have also
been 303 breeding sheep exported so far compared to 971
head a year ago.
Hog exports through Texas ports are up 40 percent from
a year ago at 193,424 head. Slaughter hog exports are up
43 percent at 186,270 head.
Goat exports through Texas ports are down 33 percent
at 54,907 head. Spanish goats are up slightly for the
period while Angoras are off 43 percent at 21,176 head.
