to a Texas Panhandle buyer one load of No. 1 and better
English steers in medium or better flesh, weighing 460
pounds at $87.71; to a North Central Texas buyer one load
of No. 1 and better English and English cross heifers in
medium flesh, weighing 414 at $80.71; to a New Mexico
buyer a short load of English and English cross heifers
weighing 469 at $78.69 and a short load of long age mixed
feeder steers and heifers in medium to better flesh,

USDA reports 2800 head of feeder cattle selling direct
off Oklahoma range, including: for April delivery medium

steers to weigh 800 at $78.50; for January steers to
weigh 750 at $81.25; for current delivery steers weighing
570-605 pounds at $85-87 and 750-765 at $77.50-79.
Direct feeder cattle trade in the Northwest as
confirmed by USDA totaled 3600 head. Medium and large No.
1 steers weighing 450-500 pounds brought $92 f.o.b.
Oregon, 500-550 pounds $88 f.o.b. Oregon, 600-650 pounds
$82-83 f.o.b. Idaho and Oregon, 800-850 pounds $74-75
f.o.b. Washington and Oregon, and 850 pounds at $75
delivered in Washington; similar heifers weighing 550-600
pounds were $75 f.o.b. Oregon, 800-850 pounds $71-72
f.o.b. Washington and Oregon, and 800-825 pounds $72
delivered in Washington.
Montana direct feeder cattle trade by USDA count came
to 1082 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 490
pounds were $100, 525 pounds $94-95 and a couple of loads
weighing 550 pounds $90; similar heifers weighing 465
pounds were $93 and 500 pounds $88, all f.o.b. for
current delivery.
