ABILENE —(Nov. 9)— Feeder steers sold steady to $1 higher, heifers steady to $2 higher, slaughter cows steady to $1 higher, bulls steady, stock cows $20 higher, pairs strong. Receipts totaled 1393 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $100-109, 400-500 lbs. $89-96, several $98-104, 500-600 lbs. $79-86.50, 600-700 lbs. $73-78, few 614 lbs. $81, 700-800 lbs. $70-75.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $80-86, several $88-89, 400-500 lbs. $77-85, 500-600 lbs. $71-77, 600-700 lbs. $70-74, 700-800 lbs. $66.50-70.

Slaughter cows: breakers $30.50-35, boners $33-38, high dressing $38.50-39.50, lean 1000-1200 lbs. $30-35, 750-1000 lbs. $27-33, under 750 lbs. $25-29.50; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $42-48.50, high dressing $49-50, 1000-1300 lbs. $40-42.50.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young 900-1400 lbs. 4-8 months bred $525-600 per head, aged 900-1300 lbs. 3-8 months bred $400-500; medium and large 1-2 young 850-1400 lb. cows with 100-200 lb. calves $610-660 per pair, aged 1050-1250 lb. cows with 100-150 lb. calves $550-600.
