ABILENE —(Dec. 14)— Feeder steers sold $1-3 higher, heifers steady to $1 higher, slaughter cows $1 higher, bulls steady, stock cows $40-50 higher, pairs strong. Receipts totaled 1684 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $115-124, 300-400 lbs. $110-119, 400-500 lbs. $100-109, 500-600 lbs. $88-95.50, 600-700 lbs. $79.50-88, 700-800 lbs. $75-81.50.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $98-106, 300-400 lbs. $93-101, 400-500 lbs. $86-94, 500-600 lbs. $80-88, 600-700 lbs. $77-84, 700-800 lbs. $71.50-75.50.

Slaughter cows: breakers $33.50-36, boners $36-39.50, high dressing $40-42.50, lean 1000-1200 lbs. $34-37, 750-1000 lbs. $29-35.50, under 750 lbs. $26-33; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $43-49, high dressing $51-52, 1000-1300 lbs. $43-45.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young 900-1550 lbs. 6-8 months bred $600-670 per head, aged 950-1550 lbs. 4-8 months bred $490-590; medium and large 1-2 young 1150-1250 lb. cows with 100-250 lb. calves $600-730 per pair.
