Hill Country Brangus
Bulls Average $2018

SAN ANGELO —(Nov. 20)— A total of 72 registered Brangus bulls at the Hill Country Brangus sale averaged $2018 per head.

Joe Mims, San Angelo, bought the top-selling bull from Tom Hunt, Dallas, for $6500. Othel Neely, Waco, purchased the next high bull at $4700 from Los Encinos Ranch, Dennis. Other high-selling bulls included one consigned by Ernest Rylie, Corsicana, and bought at $4650 by Ray's Brangus, Killeen; from Douglas Puckett, Jones, Okla., at $3450 to Los Encinos; from Oak Valley, Fort Worth, at $3400 to Sherrill Dannheim, Sonora; from Judy McDonald, Sonora, at $3200 to Rays Brangus; and from Tom J. Moore, Navasota, at $3200 to Ray's Brangus, Killeen.

High selling cows with calves included three pairs sold by Eldorado Brangus at $1700, and four pair at $1300 to Carl Prelli, Willows, Calif. Ray Fulks sold four head at $1375 to Lyles Ranch, Benjamin.

High-selling bred Brangus included one from Eldorado Brangus at $1975 and two head at $950 going to Carl Prelli. Quiver Brangus sold three head for $1000 to Lyles Ranch, and Lyles bought 15 head at $900 from Mayes.

Bob Helmers sold two top-selling open heifers at $700 to Tony Martin, Ralls. Quiver sold two head at $550 to Tommy Milliorn, Abilene.
