San Angelo kids sold $5-10 higher, nannies steady. Hamilton kids and nannies sold steady. Goldthwaite slaughter kids and nannies sold steady to $5 higher, replacement nannies steady. Billings, Montana sharply higher. Fredericksburg kids traded steady to $10 lower.

Sheep Markets Give Up Recent Gains

Lamb markets were mostly lower this week. San Angelo sold $10-15 lower, Hamilton $5 off and Fredericksburg $5-10 lower. Goldthwaite sold last Thursday with a steady market. Slaughter ewes were also lower at most markets.

TAHC Confirms EHM In Lamb County Horse

The Texas Animal Health Commission has confirmed equine herpes myeloencephalopathy (EHM), the neurologic disease linked to equine herpes virus (EHV-1), in a Lamb County Quarter Horse. It is the first positive detection of EHM in Texas this year.
