ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — (USDA) — Total red meat production under federal inspection for the week ending August 15 was estimated at 956.6 million pounds. This was 1.8 percent higher than a week ago and 1.4 percent lower than a year ago. Cumulative meat production for the year to date was 2.

Boxed Beef Cutout Prices Trade Higher

DES MOINES, Iowa — (USDA) — The national comprehensive boxed beef cutout report showed prices up $6.46 at $371.14.            There were 5840 total loads traded with 5279 domestic loads and 560 loads for export.
