Boxed Beef Cutout Prices Trade Lower

DES MOINES, Iowa — (USDA) — The national comprehensive boxed beef cutout report showed prices down $2.21 at $391.76.

            There were 5970 total loads traded, with 5356 domestic loads and 613 loads for export. Of the total, 1651 loads were slated for delivery within 21 days, 616 loads scheduled more than 21 days out, 3637 formula loads and 118 loads were forward contracted. Prime accounted for 281 loads, branded 1112, choice 1846, select 514 and ungraded 2216.

            Prime was up 93 cents at $402.33, branded was down eight cents at $398.46, choice down 62 cents at $391.37, select down $6.95 at $376.86, and ungraded down $5.84 at $364.09.
