Angelo Slaughter Lambs Sold Steady This Week

SAN ANGELO — (USDA) — This week, slaughter lambs sold steady, slaughter ewes $3-5 lower, slaughter kids $2-3 lower. Sheep and goat receipts totaled 6564 head.            This week, feeder cattle sold $1-4 lower, slaughter cows and bulls lower undertone noted. Cattle receipts totaled 664 head.

San Saba Stockers Higher This Week

San Saba stocker steers sold $5-7 higher, stocker heifers $10-12 higher, feeder steers $10 higher, feeder heifers $10-12 higher, packer cows $4-5 lower, packer bulls $2-3 higher. Receipts totaled 995 head.

Goldthwaite Lambs Sold $10-15 Higher

GOLDTHWAITE — (Sept. 10) — This week, kids sold steady, slaughter nannies steady, replacement nannies $10 higher, lambs all $10-15 higher, Dorper and Barbado lambs steady. Sheep and goat receipts totaled 2253 head.

Fredericksburg Steers Traded $5-10 Higher

Graham Steers, Heifers All Up

GRAHAM — (Sept. 14) — Packer cows and bulls sold mostly steady with young replacement cows and pairs selling steady with a light test, steers and heifers weighing 600 pounds and under were $5-20 higher, steers and heifers weighing 600 pounds and over were $5-10 higher. Receipts totaled 1033 head.

Coleman Light Steers Sold Up

COLEMAN — (Sept. 9) — This week, light weight feeder steers $20-30 higher, with others holding steady, light weight heifers steady, 400 pounds and above $15-20 higher, bulls $6 higher, packer cows steady, breds and pairs $2-33 higher. Receipts totaled 920 head.
