Lambs at most Texas markets were steady to $5 higher compared to last week. Slaughter ewes were steady to lower.
The USDA estimated lamb and mutton production for the week ended July 25 totaled 1.89 million pounds on a slaughter count of 32,000 head as compared to the previous week’s totals of 1.95 million pounds and 33,000 head.
