WASHINGTON — Last week President Donald Trump announced he would temporarily suspend tariffs on some ground beef imports to lower prices in the meat counter.
Up to 300,000 metric tons of ground beef can be imported duty-free for 90 days. Trump claimed the beef will be sold 25 percent below current market prices.
